Give thanks

The first comment by the groom-to-be on this blog (cos he can't remember the password to the blog account).

Agree that the preparations have been quite a journey thus far. As a couple, we had shared with each other on the challenges awaiting us before embarking on this journey. While we had talked and geared ourselves for it, the actual experience has been quite beyond expectations (in all facets).

While I usually enjoy including humor in my written comments, I have decided not to do that and be serious for this post. For I want to dedicate this and give thanks to our dear Lord. For without His blessings and grace, all these would have been impossible and made more challenging for sure. The way things fall into place. The way people are brought in one at a time at the important junctures. The way we discovered (on retrospect) how certain wants that were not given to us were actually blessings in His own ways. We can indeed do nothing but to give thanks and praise the Lord.

While it is obvious to us that He has provided to us abundantly, He has not spoilt us as a loving father as well. We have been made to work for our wants but always gained even more because we always get a takeaway from each task/challenge in the preparations. He is always teaching and guiding us with His gentle but firm hand so that we make good His wise plans for us. It is made all the more easy for us because all that is required of us as a couple is simple faith and obedience. I thank the Lord everyday for this journey, Hsing and more importantly for letting me walk close to Him. I will sing praises to Him all my life, I hope you will too!

Best,
Des
